# Product number for bonus points

There are basically two ways to redeem bonus points:

1. As premium products:\
   In this case, the premium product that is created as a regular product in Shopware 6 is created in the order. The article number of this product is therefore used.
2. As a voucher item:\
   The bonus points reduce the order value and are created as a separate item within the order. This item does not normally have an order number. The following describes how an order number can be created and read out.

In the configuration of the extension, there are the settings **Bonus points item number** and **Show bonus points item number in cart**. With the first setting, the desired product number for the bonus points must be stored and saved.

If bonus points are now used for an order, the product number is stored in the corresponding bonus points item:
